 his
beautiful natural state Island of approximately 3.28 acres (1.33 hectares)
is located in Cowichan Lake. Situated at the Southwest end of the
lake (just west of Caycuse) being about a 90-minute drive (90 km/56
miles) from Victoria, 35 minutes from Duncan and 1 hour from Nanaimo.
The Island is beautifully treed - beautiful by nature! There is a
small cabin, however it is in need of finishing and attention.
Cowichan Lake is approximately 27 miles long (43
kilometres) and averages of 1 mile (1.61 kilometres) wide and has
about 64 miles (103 kilometres) of shoreline. The lake offers excellent
fishing (cutthroat, rainbow, dolly varden trout), boating, swimming,
surfing and a great variety of wild life plus a warm summer climate.
The Town of Lake Cowichan has a population of about 3000 and the
surrounding area having about 3600.
A great recreational retreat! The Island is easily
accessed by boat or floatplane. Once you own an island you will
never be the same!
